A HISTORIC venue is celebrating a landmark anniversary of its popular festive event.
Staff at Blackthorpe Barn, in Rougham, are marking the 21st birthday of their Christmas craft event, which attracts visitors from across the country.
Launched and developed by George Agnew, owner of Rougham Estate, and local artist Katie Millard, the winter festivities boast ‘100 per cent British crafts made by the exhibitors’.
Each weekend there are 60 exhibitors and a Christmas shop offering traditonal and contemporary decorations, lighting and gifts.
Christmas trees are also grown and have won national awards with specimens chosen for 10 Downing Street on several occasions.
Mr Agnew said: “The team is so proud of Christmas at Blackthorpe Barn and they can’t believe it has been 21 years since we first started.
“The Christmas shop is jammed packed full of ideas. I’m sure visitors will see new things they missed before every time they visit.
“We have introduced reindeer which will be at the barn on December 11.”
