THE lure of chocolate is spreading as a Bury St Edmunds shop prepares to launch an online order service.

Catriona Brinkley took over The Bury Chocolate Shop, in St John’s Street, towards the end of last year and has already introduced an array of chocolate themed gift ideals including umbrellas, books, DVDs and beauty products. She also sells take away hot chocolate, hires out chocolate fountains, is about to launch into cake decorating, and is developing a website to enable people to place orders online.

“Obviously I love chocolate. I’m a bit of a chocoholic,” said the 32-year-old. She said she grasped the opportunity to become her own boss after taking time out of hotel and catering to have children.

“There was a couple in recently and the man was complaining about how much chocolate the woman was making him buy. I said count yourself lucky, my husband had to buy the shop,” said Catriona.
