Centenary for farm machinery specialists with UK base near Bury St Edmunds

The Institute of Directors Suffolk Branch is due to tour CLAAS UK at Saxham Business Park tomorrow (25), as part of the firm’s centenary celebrations.

The agricultural machinery specialist was founded by August Claas in Germany in 1913.

It began exporting to England in 1946. A distribution centre at Saxham business park, became part of the Claas Group in 1980.

Claas now makes tractors, harvesters and other farm machinery.
