An apprentice from Haughley is among 30 candidates selected from a massive 820 applications to join UK Power Networks’ on-the-job training scheme.
Carrie-Louise Donovan, 18, of Duke Street, will take part in an office administration apprenticeship and will be based at the company’s offices in Bury St Edmunds.
She said: “I was very interested in joining UK Power Networks as this apprenticeship offers extensive practical training out in the field while providing a very good support programme.”
UK Power Networks offers three year foundation apprenticeships for school leavers as well as two year advanced apprenticeships. The scheme includes formal training at the company’s training centres in Kent and Suffolk and on the job experience.
