Pupils across Suffolk have learnt key employability skills during school visits from a range of businesses.

As part of its Raising the Bar initiative, Sufolk County Council has helped arrange for local businesses to visit schools and prepare children to enter the world of work.

Organisations including Lloyds Banking Group, BT, EDF Energy and Suffolk Police have been to schools such as Lavenham Primary and Mildenhall Technical Academy.

Cllr Lisa Chambers, cabinet member for education, said: “These sessions are designed to make it easier for businesses to be proactive in schools and support young people to develop their employability skills.”
