THE OPENING event at Bury St Edmunds’ first business festival, Menta’s annual trade fair, proved so popular that its stands were fully booked in four days.

Visitors can attend the event for free but will be entered for a prize draw if they register at:

The festival, the brainchild of St Edmundsbury Borough Council, will run from September 13 to 23 in partnership with the Bury Free Press (BFP) and the Bury Chamber of Commerce.

On September 22, at the BFP Business Show 2011, local companies will have the chance to find out about contract opportunities with the United States Air Force – the visiting forces based at RAF Lakenheath and Mildenhall spend around £33 million each year on goods and services provided by British companies.
