Business lends a hand

A MOBILITY equipment business has lent a helping hand to a doctor’s surgery after thieves stole one of its wheelchairs.

Ashdown Mobility, in Risbygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, has offered to provide a new wheelchair for Angel Hill Surgery.

The donation was made after staff appealed for information in the Bury Free Press about the missing chair, which was taken two weeks ago.

Practice manager Judy Smith said: “They gave me a call, said they were sorry to hear what had happened and would like to help us by ordering a new one for us. We’re very grateful to them for their generosity.”
