Pupils in the Bury St Edmunds Academy Trust learnt how determination can lead to personal success during a speech by an international business leader.
Chris Hirst, CEO from leading marketing company Grey London and a speaker from charity Speakers for Schools, visited Howard Middle School to explain the work that goes on behind major TV ad campaigns such as Lucozade, Vodaphone, Gilette and McVitie’s.
The key theme of his talk was that while personal talent can be important, the act of trying, failing and trying again is more likely to lead to personal success.
Headteacher Greg Sadler said: “The talk put children’s potential futures in to real life and created a buzz that anything is possible.”
The audience also included pupils from Horringer Court Middle and County Upper.
