Bury Young Farmers support My WiSH charity

Bury Young Farmers held a summer ball early to celebrate their 60th anniversary and raise £1,000 for the My WiSH Charity who support the West Suffolk Hospital, including the Macmillan Unit.

Josh Gilbert, chair of Bury Young Farmers, said: “We made the donation as a current members immediate family have been affected by cancer and they have been being treated at the hospital’s Macmillan unit.

“We raised the money by holding a charity raffle at our anniversary ball. Local companies kindly donated prizes to make this possible.”

Sue Smith, fundraising manager, said: “This money will make such a difference. The Macmillan unit plan to use the donation towards a humidified oxygen pump which will help make patients’ last few days more comfortable.”
