Fun activities, meals out and beauty treatments all feature among prizes in the Bury St Edmunds Women’s Refuge’s annual summer raffle, which promises to be the biggest and best one yet.

Top prizes include a two-night stay for two in the Priory Suite at Lavenham Priory, a Go Ape family ticket for four and a three-course dinner for two at Maison Bleue.

There are 24 more prizes to be won, including a family portrait voucher from Heather Craik Photography, afternoon tea for two at the Swan Hotel Lavenham, lunch for two at Casa del Mar, a Guerlain fragrance from Guerlain in Palmers, a gift box from L’Occitane and a full body massage from Body Sanctuary.

Judith Grandi, refuge fund-raiser, said: “The Summer Raffle is our main fund-raising event of the year. Demand for our advice and support is increasing, and the money raised will go towards developing new community-based services for women who become victims of domestic abuse.”

The draw will take place on September 9 after which prize-winners will be notified.

Tickets cost £1 and are on sale at Body Shop in Buttermarket and Bay Tree Café in St John’s Street.
