Students from Bury St Edmunds’ County Upper School have won a competition to design and market a new sandwich to be sold in Subway stores across the region.

Named ‘the subtastico’, the winning design consists of chicken breast, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, bacon and BBQ sauce on Italian white bread and will be sold in more than 140 stores across Anglia early next year, supported by the students’ marketing materials.

The lucky winners, who beat off competition from almost 100 other teams, also bagged themselves a share of £1,000 Amazon vouchers.
