Bury St Edmunds pay on exit system back online after 'network issue'

The flexi-park pay on exit system in a Bury St Edmunds car park is back online following a 'network issue'.

The system which is being trialled in St Andrew's Street short stay car park was taken off line last week.

Yesterday, a West Suffolk Council spokesman said: "Our pay and display machines are working but we took the flexi-park pay on exit system off-line last week as there has been a network issue which is beyond our control.

"We are speaking to the operator and the payment system will be back online imminently once we have confirmed we have a reliable network connection."

Today the council confirmed that two machines are now working and engineers are on site to get the other two online 'as soon as possible'.
