A Bury St Edmunds man has denied stalking a woman between April 1 and December 18, last year.

Keith Cornish, 50, of Boyne Road, is accused of harassing a woman by turning up at her place of work, applying to be a volunteer driver for the business, befriending her neighbours, approaching her in town and attending the same eating establishment while bail conditions prevented any contact.

He pleaded not guilty at Bury Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was released on conditional bail until his trial on June 9.

His conditions include not contacting the alleged victim or going within five metres of her, not entering Ingham unless travelling through on the A134 and then not deviating or stopping and not going to Cornwallis Court or loitering within 100 metres of its curtilage.
