Bury St Edmunds man arrested overnight is due in court

A Bury St Edmunds man is to appear in court this morning charged with five offences including burglary, handling stolen goods and fraud.

Neil Charles, 41, of Beaumont Close, Bury, was arrested yesterday morning and brought into custody where he was interviewed by detectives in connection with a number of crimes.

He has since been charged with a burglary at a home in Albert Crescent, Bury, on June 7, where a handbag was stolen; handling stolen goods relating to stolen gift cards; fraud by false representation in relation to the use of those gift cards; the theft of cash on June 7 and failing to provide a specimen for a class A drug test.

He was detained in custody overnight and is now due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court this morning.
