Bury St Edmunds man charged after Newmarket drugs arrests




A Bury St Edmunds man was arrested in Newmarket on suspicion of drugs offences on Saturday.

Police officers on patrol in Exning Road stopped a BMW due to the manner in which it was being driven at 1.55am.

A search was carried out and drugs – 12 wraps of cocaine and 12 wraps of heroin – were seized.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre, where he was questioned.

Sizakele Wiri Ndlovu, 35, of Ashwell Road, Bury, was subsequently charged and was due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

A 15-year-old teenage boy was also arrested on suspicion with intent to supply. The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was taken to Bury Police Investigation Centre, where he was questioned and subsequently charged.

He was expected to appear at Suffolk Youth Court today.

A 72-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs. He was taken to Bury Police Investigation Centre, where he was questioned and subsequently released on bail until February 15.
