Bury St Edmunds Love Island contestant Ched Uzor avoided being dumped from the reality TV show last night (January 10).

The 23-year-old and his partner Jess Gale nearly left the show after the public were asked to vote for their favourite couple.

They were one of three couples to receive the least votes.

Jordan and Rebecca as well as Naz and Eva had to leave the villa.

In the programme, men and women couple up to try to find love and ultimately win a cash prize of £50,000.

Scaffolder Ched graduated from the University of Suffolk in Bury St Edmunds with a BA Hons degree in Business Management last October.

Love Island airs on ITV2.
