Bury St Edmunds Hospital wins top award for second year running

West Suffolk Hospital was last night named top hospital for quality of care for the second year running.

It won the award at the Top Hospital Awards 2012 run by independent healthcare intelligence company CHKS.

The Bury St Edmunds hospital was judged against criteria which included the length of time patients stay in hospital, waiting times, mortality rates and the success of planned patient care pathways.

Stephen Graves, hospital chief executive, said: “It is a tremendous achievement for everybodyt at West Suffolk Hospital and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff.”
