Bury St Edmunds hospital charity appoints manager

West Suffolk Hospital Charity has appointed Sue Smith as its new fund-raising manager.

Sue, of Bury St Edmunds, has been running her own business for the past seven years and comes with a wealth of fund-raising experience, as a leading figure of the Suffolk Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

She said: “I am really looking forward to starting at West Suffolk Hospital Charity. Fund-raising is my passion and this is my local hospital so it is a perfect fit.

“I can’t wait to meet everyone around the hospital and help the charity continue to support all the fantastic work being done in every ward and department - not to mention the generous local community across West Suffolk.”

Sue will be taking over from Dave Gooderham who is moving across to become the charity’s new communications manager.
