May is National Walking Month and Frames Conservatories Direct wants everyone to ditch the car, dig out their trainers and walk for charity.

The Bury St Edmunds-based company has undertaken a year-long mission to raise £12,000 to buy four portable heart monitors for West Suffolk Hospital’s Rainbow Ward – and it wants you to get involved too.

It has set a challenge as part of the hospital’s annual Walk for Wards fund-raiser, which encourages people to organise their own 10k walk, or walk 5k for five days or even 10k for 10 days.

Anyone taking part in aid of FCD’s Rainbow Appeal will have the chance to win prizes.

The child (under 16) who raises the most money will get a £50 Sports Direct voucher while the adult who raises the most will win a tailored stress-relieving massage from Focused Massage.
