Bury St Edmunds church to help jobless get back into work

A Bury St Edmunds church is to start running free workshops to help get people back into work.

Members of West Suffolk Vineyard Church have undergone specialised training in how to equip people in their community with the tools, skills and confidence needed to find employment.

Starting September 17, at 11am, the church in Out Westgate will be running free workshops, known as CAP Job Clubs, which will combine one-to-one consultations, group support and practical sessions in topics like CV writing and interview techniques.

Job Club manager David Theobald said: “With more people facing long-term unemployment, there is a real need for a personal service which provides practical and emotional support for people to find work again. CAP Job Clubs is designed to do just this.”

To book a place, visit capjobclubs.org or call 0800 3280006.
