A Bury St Edmunds choir hit the fund-raising high notes in aid of a local charity.

Dayspring Community Choir handed over a £2,000 cheque to Ormiston Families after holding a concert in aid of the Suffolk charity.

The choir, which has about 80 members and meets on Monday evenings at Christchurch on Moreton Hall, has raised funds for a range of local charities since it started in 2013.

It chose to support Ormiston Families as one of its members works for the charity.

Ormiston supports children and families facing challenging and often traumatic circumstances.
