Members of the Bury St Edmunds Clandestine Cake Club celebrated the release of the national organisation’s second cook book on Saturday.

Tasty sweet treats were used to entice people to the launch event at Waterstones, in Bury’s arc shopping centre, where the new book, entitled Clandestine Cake Club Cook Book – A Year of Cake, is available to buy.

It features recipes from author Lynn Hill, who started the first cake club in 2010, and members from around the UK and beyond.

Helen Johnson, who started the Bury group in 2012, said: “I’ve got the first book and it’s a really good book - I’ve made lots of recipes from it and they work really well.

“So it’s good to see another book come out with a different theme to see what people came up with and I’m looking forward to trying them out.”

The club brings together like-minded people who socialise while sharing baking tips and recipes, as well as cakes.
