Year three pupils at South Lee School celebrated VE day with a street party.
The children learnt about the significance of the day, made flags and bunting and watched footage from the day 70 years ago.
They also had a picnic with lots of delicious sandwiches, cakes and scones and even drank tea!
Sarah Catchpole, from the school, said: “It was a wonderful afternoon.
“We felt that it was important for the children to understand what VE day meant so that they could understand the relevance behind the weekend VE celebrations.”
