Your Bury St Edmunds museum needs you to help tell the World War One stories of real local people.

Moyse’s Hall Museum is putting together its latest ‘Pot Luck’ history project which will have a 1914-18 theme.

St Edmundsbury Borough Council heritage officer Alex McWhirter said: “By choosing a Pot Luck number from a random selection of ‘pull-out cards’, this leads people on to discover the life story of a local person in that time, as well as find objects associated with that life, such as photographs, clothing and artefacts”.

The museum is collecting the stories of individuals from all walks of life to paint a picture of how the town got through the conflict. Pot Luck - The Great War is compiled by heritage trainees, Sarah Clark, Daniel Clarke, Jack Everett and Ben Donnelly- Symes
