BUGS Bunny and Alice’s White Rabbit helped children win Easter eggs on Sunday.

The famous bunnies hunt was Stowmarket’s Museum of East Anglian Life’s new slant on an Easter Egg hunt. More than 100 children joined in, seeking out rabbits famous from books and films including Beatrix Potter’s Peter and Dot Bunn’s Missy.

All the museum’s usual attractions were open, from the working water mill to displays of farm implements but youngsters could also help to feed orphan lambs from a nearby farm and meet rare breed chickens and their chicks.

It was also the first bank holiday weekend for the museum’s newly refurbished restaurant, which only opened last month. It is called The Osier because the site once supplied osiers (willow) to local basket weavers.
