Two brothers who were brought up in Bury St edmunds and now live hundreds of miles apart are getting together for charity.

David and Mike Gateshill, sons of former Bury police superintendent John Gateshill who still lives in the town, are part of Team Dinosaur, walking from London to Brighton in May covering the 100km (62ml) in 30 hours.

David lives in Weymouth and Mike in Watton. Other team members are Gav King and Mark Atkins from Weymouth and mascot Rex, an inflatable tyranosaurus rex.

They are doing the walk for Macmillan Cancer Support and Mike added: “We’ve decided to make it 24 hours to limit the cost to sponsors.”
