A JUBILEE cake has been created by brewer Greene King and delivered to Buckingham Palace this week.
Created to mark the Diamond Jubilee, the cake was made by Helen Underhill, whose family bakery W A Bloomfield and Son has a history of preparing food for royalty
A vintage ale brewed to mark the coronation of the Queen in 1953 is included in the ingredients and on Saturday retired brewer Bernard Tickner was on hand to help stir in the vintage brew which he helped to create.
The cake was delivered to the Palace on Wednesday and is one of only eight cakes the royal chef has agreed to receive during the course of the Jubilee celebrations.
The cake was iced and decorated by Katie Bexon and shows the Greene King crown and a loyal message from the people of Bury St Edmunds.
