Brass brand wants new members

New brass players are wanted to join Breckland Brass Band, a group which has raised tens of thousands of pounds for charity since starting in 1984.

Members have a busy calendar of events around East Anglia, including this year’s biggest concert on October 7.

They range in age from 10 to 80 and would welcome new cornet, trombone, French horn and baritone players, among others.

Conductor Dave Goodwin said the group had the ability to buy instruments if required and would offer free tuition to anyone wanting to join the band.

It meets from 7.30-9.30pm every Wednesday at Forest Academy in Bury Road, Brandon.

To get involved should email davegoodwin@toucansurf.com or call 01842 811810.
