Brandon rape police rule out suspect

Detectives investigating a rape which in Brandon in June are no longer seeking to identify a suspect whose description was circulated to the public.

The incident was alleged to have taken place at about 2am on Sunday June 19, in an open space accessed via Knappers Way, next to a primary school and across a footpath from a play area.

Suffolk Police say the victim has been supported by specialist officers throughout the investigation and detectives are now satisfied there is no risk to the wider public.

Police would like to thank members of the public for their assistance.
