Boy assaulted after investigating screaming in Thetford

Police in Thetford are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was assaulted.

The incident took place between 9.30pm and 10pm on Tuesday September 16 in the wooded area between Mallow Road and Norwich Road.

The victim was walking along Mallow Road and as he approached the junction with Thistle Close he heard a scream and shout from the woods.

The boy went into the woods to investigate and was assaulted by the suspect, before managing to push him away and run out of the woods.

The boy suffered scratches to his arms, which were caused by what was believed to have been a piece of glass as he put his arms up to defend himself.

The suspect is described as male, around 5ft 10in tall, wearing a black beanie hat, dark-coloured hooded top, black jeans, dark trainers and gloves.
