Boy, 13, suffers memory loss after Bury St Edmunds assault

A 13-year-old boy has suffered memory loss after being punched in the face during an assault in Bury St Edmunds on Tuesday.

The teenager was walking alone at around 3.30pm near Hospital Road when he was approached by another boy who punched him, causing him to fall to the ground, and stamped on him.

The victim suffered a split lip, a cut and bruised gum, a minor cut to one elbow and a minor graze to his back. He also suffered some memory loss after hitting his head on the ground.
