13-year-old boy found 'semi-conscious' in Bury St Edmunds alleyway after gang attack




A teenager has been left with 'possible facial fractures' after he was attacked by a gang of boys in Bury St Edmunds.

The 13-year-old was found in an alleyway near the St Olaves precinct on the Howard estate on Sunday.

Emergency services were called at 5.15pm to reports that the victim had been beaten by boys of a similar age, who are believed to have been known to him.

An eyewitness, who cared for the boy after the incident, said the boy had 'repeatedly been kicked in the head' by five others and was 'semi-conscious' when the fight was stopped by older boys.

She added that he was taken to hospital to be treated for 'possible facial fractures'.

A Suffolk Police spokesman asked anyone with information to call 101 quoting reference 32/779/20.
