Boost for ‘Special Friends’ charity

Bury St Edmunds charity Our Special Friends has scooped £500 in the Norwich-based Independent Financial Advisers Almary Green’s charity awards.

The group helps people retain companionship with animals.

They were among 12 charities from Suffolk and Norfolk to receive awards of up to £2,000.

Jane Paley, of Our Special Friends, said the award will be used to print leaflets and posters plus handbooks for volunteers.
