Bury St Edmunds: Book club returns online in time for second birthday

A book club for young adults is still meeting online as it celebrates its second birthday.

The Book Club of Nerds and Dreamers has been holding monthly video conferences as fiction fans continue to discuss everything from refugee stories and African-inspired fantasy to murder mysteries.

Bury St Edmunds author Rachel Churcher co-ordinates the group.

She said: “We would usually meet in Waterstones, but we’ve really enjoyed being able to talk about the books we’re reading without leaving home.”

Next up for discussion will be award-winning We Are Not Yet Equal, by Carol Anderson and Tonya Bolden.

The next meetings are on Sunday, July 5, and Sunday, August 2, at 2.30pm. For more information, email bookclub@tallerbooks.com
