Body of man found in Icklingham woods is identified


The body of a man that was discovered in Icklingham has been formally identified as 55-year-old Simon Collins.

Officers were called at 2.25pm on Thursday March 12 by a member of the public who reported finding a body in the woods near to the A1101.

Forensic tests have confirmed that the body was that of Simon Collins from Mildenhall who was reported missing on Saturday February 21.

A police spokeswoman said: “A post mortem investigation into the death was inconclusive.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
