BILL Turnbull and Henry Blofeld have been revealed as two of the names set to light up the Breckland Book Festival this year.

Award-winning biographer, critic and novelist D J Taylor will join the BBC pair in coming to Thetford as part of the festival, which runs through October and November.

Test Match Special commentator Mr Blofeld – known as Blowers – will be at the Carnegie Room on November 5 for An Afternoon With. He will be sharing anecdotes and stories from his 50 years in cricket from 3pm. Tickets are £15, concessions £13.

BBC Breakfast presenter Mr Turnbull will be at the Carnegie Room on November 25 to talk about his book, The Bad Beekeeper’s Club. Tickets are £5.

D J Taylor – author of Man Booker Prize-nominated novel Derby Day – will be at Thetford Grammar School on October 13 to discuss little-known local author Mary Mann. Tickets are £7 and £5 for concessions.

Other events include Hugh Lupton at Thetford Grammar School on November 17 discussing the life and times of John Clare.
