Bible club, ice creams and hog roast at church community event
Bury St Edmunds Presbyterian Church organised a marquee with a variety of activities to reach out to the community on the Howard estate.
The Hope on the Howard Estate event was held throughout last week on the grounds of Northumberland Methodist Church with an average of 35 children attending bible club every morning as well as football, ice creams and a hog roast.
They received support from Trinity Presbyterian Church from St Louis.
Rev Matthew Jolley said: "We’re hoping that these community events and bible club will help to spread the good news there is real hope in following Jesus.
"It was a joy to see people of all ages coming together in something really good.
"We especially would like to thank our friends at Northumberland Methodist Church for hosting the event and the team from Trinity Presbyterian Church who came over to help make it happen."
