A bench dedicated to the memory of Kath King, who lived in Lakenheath, has been donated to the People’s Project.

The bench was presented by Kath’s family on Saturday along with a rose bush.

The Project has enabled the village to retain the former Royal British Legion building in the High Street after it closed down.

The late Brendan Fulham spearheaded the move to raise money to purchase the building and this was supported by Kath who was very popular in the village and had lived there for 20 years. She joined many village activities especially the village Over 60s keep fit club which met at the hall.
