BBC Radio Suffolk today visited the Bury Free Press as part of its coverage of Red Nose Day.

Morning show presenter Mark Murphy has been encouraging listeners to wear comedy ties as part of the fund-raising effort for Comic Relief and fellow presenter Phillipa Taylor visited the Bury Free Press, in King’s Road, Bury St Edmunds, to see what the editorial team were wearing.

Editor Barry Peters led the way with a clown’s bow tie and a Tommy Cooper Comic Relief T-shirt.

Phillipa also chatted to some of the reporters, two of which – Paul Derrick and John Henderson – had decorated their own ties. Reporter Mark Beaumont sported a natty Flintstones number.
