A Barrow nursery’s nativity ended on a high note when pupils revealed they had received an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted.

About 70 children, aged from one to four-years-old, were involved in Green Wellie Day Nursery’s production.

Staged at Barrow Village Hall, the show attracted about 200 people.

A collection in aid of the Sarah Applin Fund for the neonatal unit at West Suffolk Hospital raised £117.

At the end of the nativity, the children held up letters which read ‘We’re outstanding’ following its Ofsted report.

Jo Chandler, nursery director, said: “It is such an achievement for us all and I’m proud of everyone - staff, pupils and parents. It was lovely to celebrate together.”
