Attempted murder suspects to stand trial next month

FOUR men alleged to have tried to kill a US serviceman will stand trial next month.

Jonathan McNeely was stabbed at a flat in Gosnold Street, in the arc in Bury St Edmunds on New Year’s Day.

Today, Ryan Otto, 32, of Airfield Road, Bury, Rhys Hammond, 18, of Willow House, Rushbrooke, Siju Roseje, 30, of Robinson Way, Wootton, Northampton and Peter Raeburn, 32, of Macquarie Quay, Eastbourne, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court. All had pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder at an earlier hearing.

The four will continue to be kept in custody until a hearing on May 21. The trial is expected to last 10 days.
