Police are appealing for witnesses after an arson attack on a shop in Thetford on Monday night.

Norfolk Police say an ignited item was put through the letterbox of the shop in Lime Kiln Lane and a front window was smashed to start another fire, damaging the interior.

It happened between 9pm on Monday and 6:45am on Tuesday and police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or noticed anything suspicious in the area around those times.

Contact PC Matthew Zurowski at Thetford Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
