Arrest made in connection with Thetford creeper burglaries




Police investigating a series of creeper burglaries in Thetford have made an arrest.

A 36-year-old man from the Thetford area has been arrested today (Friday, January 3) and is in custody at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on suspicion of 14 counts of burglary and supplying controlled drugs.

The arrest follows reports of multiple burglaries at insecure properties in the month of December with homes in Ely Way, Canterbury Way, King Street, Coventry Way, Fairfields, Winchester Way, Salisbury Way, Guildford Way and Durham Way being targeted.

These incidents prompted police to urging residents in the town to double check doors were locked at night before going to bed, as property stolen included laptops, cash, alcohol, phones and iPads from the homes affected.
