Arc donates seventh good deed to primary school

A Bury St Edmunds primary school received a very special gift last week from a shopping centre.

Tollgate Primary School in Tollgate Lane received a climbing frame funded by The arc shopping centre – the seventh good deed out of 10 to mark their 10th anniversary.

Mrs Wappett, nursery teacher, saw the arc shopping centre advertising its 10 good deeds.

She submitted an application as the nursery equipment was very old and in need of repair. The whole school can now use the equipment.

Hannah Brookman, headteacher, said: “We were successful in being accepted as a good deed and were given £1,000 towards the equipment. Mrs Wappett was able to choose a piece of equipment that would challenge the children and provide them with something to climb.”
