Appeal after two men seriously injured in crash near Ixworth

Two men were seriously injured in a crash on the A1088 near Ixworth on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers were called to the A1088 Stow Lane, not far from Baileypool Lane, around 2.50pm on Tuesday, May 24, to reports of a two vehicle collision between a white Ford Transit van and a black Peugeot 207.

A man in his 30s, from London, who was driving the Transit and a man in his 50s, from East Harling, who was driving the Peugeot were both taken to hospital. The man in his 30s had a broken knee and facial injuries, the man in his 50s had a broken knee and bruised ribs.

Police are investigating what happened and are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen either of the vehicles prior to the crash or the collision itself.
