Ambulance vehicle involved in collision in Sicklesmere while en-route to another crash


An ambulance Land Rover was involved in a collision with a Ford Fiesta in Sicklesmere while en-route to another crash in Bradfield Combust.

An ambulance officer suffered slight injuries in the incident, in Sudbury Road, at about 3.15pm but was not taken to hospital.

A woman travelling in the Ford Fiesta suffered minor injuries and was taken West Suffolk Hospital by ambulance for a check-up.

The ambulance vehicle had been en-route to a collision on the A134 at Bradfield Combust involving two vehicles.

Two ambulance crews and an ambulance officer attended to a report of two patients.

A woman, aged in her 60s, suffered a minor head injury and a man was described as walking wounded.

Both were taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment.

The area of the A134 affected has been closed.
