Stars of classic sitcom Allo Allo helped launch a festival in Norton which was created to meet demand from the community.
Opened by Richard Gibson and Arthur Bostrom, who played Herr Flick and Officer Crabtree in the BBC show, Norfest featured a myriad of activities catering for all ages.
The festival, held in the village hall and on the playing field, was created as part of the results of a village Parish Plan in which the community called for an annual village event.
The intention is to now hold Norfest in June annually.
Activities at the fun-packed event included a dog fancy dress competition judged by the Allo Allo stars and country dancing from pupils at Norton Primary School.
Meanwhile, there was a sports day for all ages, display by a re-enactment group and a classic car parade.
Other highlights ranged from various village stalls as well as fairground rides and food and drink.
Within the village hall, people could enjoy and look at displays of crafts, foodstalls and the main findings of the Parish Plan.
Also on show were archaeological exhibits from Norton plus past photos from the village. Visitors could enjoy refreshements served from the kitchen.
A village event had not been held in Norton for many years until celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee two years ago.
