An aggravated burglary which happened in Thetford has left a man with knee injuries and a broken leg.

It happened at approximately 1.30pm on May 10 at an address in Winchester Way.

A man entered the property and confronted a teenage girl before threatening a man in his 20s with a knife.

The suspect then assaulted the man with a hammer causing knee injuries and in an attempt to escape from the house, the male victim jumped out of a first floor window and suffered a broken leg.

The teenage girl managed to flee the property unharmed, with games consoles, iPhones, and two mountain bikes stolen during the incident.

DC Matt Hendry from Thetford CID said: “We believe that this could have been a targeted incident as opposed to a random attack.”
