ADRIENNE Wakeling can retire her walking shoes having finished her 90/90 walk for Royal British Legion.
Adrienne is the legion’s Suffolk manager, based in Bury St Edmunds, and decided to mark the charity’s 90th anniversary by doing a sponsored 90 miles walking at venues all over the county.
Her final three miles were at the Poppy Run in Rendlesham on Sunday. Afterwards she said: “I have been all over the county in this adventure. My heartfelt thanks to all the organisers of events and those who came along, too.
“In the end, it was our volunteers and members who organised each leg and made it easy for me.”
She has received £1,600 to boost this year’s Poppy Appeal and donations can be made at www.virginmoneygiving.com/AdrienneWakeling
