Adapted sports day in Elmswell

An event aimed at increasing physical activity and social engagement, as well as reducing loneliness and isolation in rural communities, is coming to Elmswell.

A variety of sports will be on offer at an adapted sport and wellbeing day, hosted by ActivLives, at Blackbourne Community Centre on October 5.

The day will see taster and demonstration sessions in new age kurling, boccia, new age bowls and table tennis.

ActivLives are an independent charity working with individuals and communities, of all ages, but with a focus on people over the age of 45 who live in hard pressed areas in Ipswich and across Suffolk.

There will also be the chance of a free hearing test or health check for those aged between 45-74.

Admission is £3. For more information, phone Kim on 01473 345350.
